Kritya Music Ensemble Open Rehearsal - Chennai Edition

We recently had the privilege of recording our private showing during an open dress rehearsal, watched closely by our loved ones. Themed performances brought the space to life, filled with moments of learning and unexpected joys—what we fondly call “happy accidents.”

Hosted graciously by Medai - The Stage Chennai, the event was not without its challenges. In the final movement, our singer lost her voice, prompting Laya, our violinist, and Yamini, our Founder, to step in and sing live during the performance. Balancing multiple roles, we unintentionally embraced the rich tradition of Kuchipudi, where musicians, dancers, and dramatists often embody many skills at once.

This experience reaffirmed why mastering multiple disciplines is essential—not just in art but in life—to face challenges with grace and adaptability.
